This last weekend I got to visit the middle of nowhere. Okay, really, I got to visit Arizona. But that’s basically the same thing, right?
My cousin (and absolute best friend) served a mission (for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has been back for about two years, and decided it was time to go back and visit all of his old friends; I had the honor of chauffeuring! For the first day and a half, we stayed in civilization, but by day two, we were in the middle of nowhere. Dirt. Bushes. That’s all that existed there. But I loved it.
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin;
In my time at Brigham Young University, I have had the opportunity to participate in one of the greatest choirs of 160 women, BYU Women’s Chorus. If anyone ever had the opportunity to audition for such an incredible choir (or BYU Men’s Chorus), I highly recommend it. For 3 semesters, my life has been changed, my character has been molded, my spirituality has been strengthened, and my womanhood has been manifested.
